Although I believe polygamy was a commandment to create a LDS community – and in one sense it was successful with how many Saints live in Utah then and now– I sometimes wonder if is was also a way to direct the male sex drive. In one way I appreciate that a GA (and in this case one of the highest) even spoke about Heavenly Mother, and with a bonus - Heavenly Mothers.
